an impressive ghost story!
Over the years, employees at the
Ramada Limited San Jose
have reported many unexplainable occurances at the hotel, especially late at night. One night, a female
employee who was setting up for an event in the ballroom screamed for help.

A coworker, Dan, rushed to her
aid and saw a green glowing light. He brushed at the light with a broom, but nothing was there. He threw
the broom at the light and it disappeared.
Later that night, he heard the same female employee scream from
the women's locker room. Dan again ran to her rescue, and found all the locker doors rattling at once.
They both fled, and she quit soon afterwards.

| Twice in the summer of 2003 |
I didn't go back to bed that night and I haven't returned!

Consider the case of guest Rhonda Kauffman, who stayed in the
Hyatt Hotel Sainte Claire
twice in the summer of 2003, and was met both times by a mysterious odor. She reported, "I stayed
at the Hyatt Hotel Sainte Claire in San Jose, California. I was awoken about 2 a.m. by the
smell of cigarette smoke in my room. I was on a non-smoking floor but I figured someone was just smoking
in the hall. No big deal; I went back to sleep."
When she returned to the hotel a couple of weeks later, she experienced the same thing.
"At around 2 a.m. I smelled cigarette smoke. This time I got up and opened the door to see if someone
was smoking, and there was no one and no smell. The cigarette was coming from my room. There was a
leather chair in my room and I went over to it and it smelled of fresh cigarette. 10 minutes later
the smell was completely gone. I didn't go back to bed that night and I haven't returned."
