New Brand Standard Brought to Life
DHM successfully celebrated the launch of our new log and brand at our Event on Thursday, September 18th, 2008. The Dolce name has embraced three "Rings", visually present within the "O" of the New Dolce Logo symbolizing Nourishment, Connectivity and Community. The Nourishment Ring symbolizes Dolce's commitment to nurture the body, spirit and body. The Connectivity Ring signifies our loyalty to deliver environments and intergraded services that bring people together and promote thoughtful exchange. The Community Ring, which is driven by well-trained, passionate, committed associates that form a community that provides superior and intuitive customer service and deliver socially responsible green initiatives, such as CO² off setting programs, recycling, water-saving shower heads, environmentally friendly ventilation systems, and use of heat pumps for heating and cooling purposes. This is an exciting time for us where fresh philosophies are now in place to create spaces and experiences that inspire our guests and foster big ideas in a way not seen before in our industry.

This year we are again increasing our internet bandwidth to 10 Mbps with the capacity of increasing the bandwidth to 45 Mbps by the installation of a T3 line by October 15th.

By Richard Kannapell Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
Many of us, at one point or another, have thought of planning a trip from the US to Asia. Some are intrigued by the rich culture and history of these ancient civilizations. Others were simply impressed by the beautiful landscapes of Beijing, China. Whether it's China, Singapore, Hong Kong, the list of beautiful exotic destinations are endless. Our travel tips this month provides you with a little guidance to ensure a smooth journey...
From the West Coast, most flights leave in the morning and arrive either late afternoon if you are going to Tokyo (the next day because you cross the International Date Line), early evening if you go to Beijing or late evening if you go to Singapore. When you leave the US at 9am, for example, it is 1am in Beijing and Singapore and 2am in Tokyo, so here are the tips.
- Stay up late the night before, party, have a good time, whatever works best for you. Have beverages, but remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. The point is to make sure you have exhausted yourself for your flight out of the US.
- After take-off, go to sleep. If that's difficult, have a glass of wine. At 9am, you say? Hey, it's 1am in Hong Kong! Take our advice and you'll be asleep in no time.
- Sleep for 6 or 7 hours.
- Then, get up. Watch a movie. Read a book. Talk to the fight attendants (my favorite, but they get tired of me very fast). Stay up the rest of the flight.
- If you are arriving in Tokyo, don't go right to bed. Have dinner in a nice restaurant with wine and go to bed at the normal time.
- If you are going to Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc., have dinner on the plane and then go to bed as soon as you can when you get to your hotel.
- Get up at your normal time the next day. Be sure to set your alarm and put in a wake up call.
- Work out. Eat breakfast. You should be in pretty good shape.
- You may tire during the day, but stay up all day. Eat meals at normal times. You may not want to do heavy business except for catching up on emails.
- By the next day, you should be adjusted to the time.
Have a bon voyage! We'll catch up with you on next months travel tips.
