Back to Press Releases May 2007 The Rispin LLC Re-Opens Historic Mansion HTC Hospitality joins Barry Swenson Builders, Dan Floyd and Ron Beardslee in historic restoration El Segundo, CA (HTC-PR) - May 4, 2007 - HTC Hospitality, subsidiary of HotelTravelCheck.com has signed with Barry Swenson Builders, Dan Floyd and Ron Beardslee for a "Technical Services Agreement" in the formation of the new project called "The Rispin LLC." The multi-million dollar remodeling of Capitola's historic Rispin Mansion into a Luxurious Boutique Hotel that has been in the public's eye since Floyd and Beardslee obtained a preliminary lease and development agreement on the property. Camp Capitola, as it was called in its inception back in 1869, is a landmark resort area, once the spot of Santa Cruz' historic theatre "The Cap", the venue that presented everything from opera to popular movies from 1947 to its closure in the mid-90's. Today, the town of Capitola is home to over 100 businesses lining the Esplanade and downtown area. Capitola has flourished into a center for the arts with studios and galleries lining the streets and reminiscent of the beaches at Brighton and Southern France. The Inn at Rispin Mansion is set to re-open in the summer of 2008 and the luxury hotel will be a major influence on the local economy and a celebration of Capitola's rich history.
