San Francisco State University is one of the nation's leading public urban
universities. Promoting respect for scholarship, freedom, and human diversity,
the University's faculty and administration encourage students to ignore
traditional barriers. Here students can design their own majors, take part in
research projects with senior faculty, collaborate with classmates, and learn
by helping people solve real-life problems.
SF State is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in the southwest corner
of San Francisco, just minutes away from downtown and the Pacific Ocean. Take a
look at our

The address of the main campus is 1600 Holloway Avenue, at 19th Avenue, near the
Stonestown Galleria Shopping Center and Lake Merced. SF State is easily accessible
by
public transportation or private vehicle.
Keep in mind that
parking
lots fill early when the University is in session, so be sure to plan ahead.
