Setting up Outlook Email

Step 1
1.  In Outlook, choose the Tools menu and then choose Accounts.





Step 2
1.  Choose the Add Menu, and then choose Mail.





Step 3
1.  Enter your name. This is the name that people will see when they receive an email from you.
2.  Choose Next.





Step 4
1.  Choose I already have an email address that I'd like to use.
2.  Enter your complete email address.  Sample: YourNewEmail@Beach-House.com
3.  Choose Next.





Step 5
1.  My incoming mail server is a POP3 server should be checked.
2.  Enter information for the Incoming mail POP3 server.  Sample: mail.beach-house.com
3.  Enter your ISP's mail server for the Outgoing SMTP server.  Sample: mail.earthlink.net
4.  Choose Next.





Step 6
1.  Enter your username for your account. You MUST put the @yourdomain.com in as well.
      Your user name and password are case sensitive.
2.  Enter your password.
3.  Remember password should be checked.
4.  Secure password authentication should be un-checked.
5.  Choose Next.





Step 7
1.  Choose Finish.





Step 8
1.  Click on the new mail account you just created.
2.  Click properties, and then the servers tab.
3.  YOU MUST CHECK THE BOX - "My server requires authentication"
4.  Click Apply, and OK.





Step 9
1.  Check your Email by choosing Send/Recv from the top main menu.
2.  Your new email messages are downloaded to your Inbox.





Step 10
1.  Send an email to yourself.
2.  Reply to yourself from the Email you just sent... this will double check settings.

Congratulations!
Outlook is now set up to send and receive email.
